Obituaries

Mr. William H. Jessee was born in Wise County, Virginia, February 3, 1936.  He passed away peacefully January 20, 2010, surrounded by his family.  He is survived by his family of Ypsilanti, including his loving wife, Betty Lou Jessee, and his devoted children, T. Michael (Sandra) Jessee and Candance Elisa (David) Dietz.  He will be greatly missed by five grandchildren, whom he dearly loved, Michael (Rachel) Jessee, Matthew (Shanna) Jessee, Nathan (fiancee, Sarah) Jessee, Aaron Dietz, and BrookeLyn Dietz.  His four great-grandchildren, Grace and Henry Jessee and Lily and Lucy Jessee, will miss his gentle touch.  He is also survived by two brothers, John (Bea) Jessee and Paul (Eula) Jessee and by three sisters, Charlotte Kabler of Roanoke, Virginia, Jean (Tom) Gilley of Pound, Virginia and Susie Correa of Orlando, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.  Mr. Jessee retired from Ford Motor Company in 2007 after 48 years of dedicated service and a very successful career.  He had a life-long passion for hunting, and he will be remembered for his gentleness, generosity, and kindness.  He will be greatly missed by all of his surviving relatives and his many friends.
