Two Convenient Locations to Better Serve Your Family

Carpenter Road Chapel 
Eastside Location - 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48108

    Our Carpenter Road location was built in 1966 by John Fontana and Bart Hamilton for the sole purpose of serving the families of Washtenaw County as a state of the art funeral facility. At the time all of the other funeral homes in the area were residential homes that had been converted to provide funeral services.

   In 1979, Doug and Sandi Nie purchased the Fontana Funeral Home from John and Dorothy Fontana and in 1981 completely redecorated the funeral home. In 1991 the Nie’s again redecorated the funeral home and added the front chapel and office areas in their continuing commitment to providing a dignified, inviting, comfortable facility to serve the families of Washtenaw County.

 

Liberty Road Chapel  (Now Open)
Westside Location - 3767 W. Liberty Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103

   In continuing the Nie Family vision of providing the families of Washtenaw County an end of life experience focused on Life Celebrations, we are very pleased to announce the opening of our second funeral home, which is located in Scio Twp.

   This additional location allows us to provide the Nie Life Celebrations on the Westside of Ann Arbor as well as all of Scio Twp. and Dexter. These areas have seen the change of family funeral homes to funeral homes operated by large corporate funeral chains. 

We are pleased to be able to provide these families with a family funeral choice once again.
