Obituary for Alan "Al" Merrill Valusek
Alan Merrill Valusek, age 77, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
Al was born on June 1, 1945 to parents John and Joyce (Scherzer) Valusek in Hampstead, New York. He and his brother, John “Skip,” were raised in various cities around the world due to his father’s position with the United States Air Force. He had fond memories of cycling around Paris as a young man which helped to fuel his lifelong passion of being on a bike.
He owned and operated “Sound Investment,” a music and DJ services for special events serving Ann Arbor to Detroit Metro areas. Al loved being involved and sharing the joy of music at weddings and parties.
Al will be missed by the Jerry Caviani family whom he shared a friendship with for over 50 years; his daughter, Cynthia Burns, and her two children; and his brother, John R. “Skip” (Kathy) Valusek and their children.
A celebration of Al’s Life will be held at a later date.
