Betty Lou Small, age 92, passed away on October 19, 2021, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Betty was born in Pike, Kentucky to parents, Brady and Helen (Burnett) Small on January 12, 1929.
She married Clyde Glenn Kennedy, eventually to greet their daughter, Jennifer Kennedy, who was born in 1953. Betty and Clyde later separated. Betty relocated to Michigan and found home in Ypsilanti, where she continued to raise her daughter. In her younger years, Betty was an active member of Rebekah Lodge. She was employed as a factory worker throughout the years at Daisy Air Rifle, Burrough’s, and Ford Motor Company, where she retired from.
Betty found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and having the company of her family.
Wherever she went, she was destined to make a friend-expressing kindness and sweetness to those who crossed her path. Betty will truly be missed by those she met along the way.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Kennedy; grandson, Brian Kennedy; granddaughter, Angela Kennedy; 4 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Nie Funeral Home- 2400 Carpenter Rd. Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108 from 11-1pm. Burial will take place to follow at Alban Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
