Obituary for Beverly Jean (Drechsel) Towsley
Beverly Jean Towsley, age 88, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
Beverly was born on Mary 13, 1934, the only child of Charles and Grace (Davis) Drechsel and raised in Ann Arbor. After graduating from Pioneer High School, Beverly met Gil Jaeger who was enlisted in the United States Army and they married after Gil was discharged. Gil and Beverly welcomed their daughter, Linda, and raised her in Ann Arbor. Beverly took a position at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital working a medical secretary for Dr. Reichert for 42 years. Years later, Beverly would marry John Towsley who she spent 40 loving years with until his passing in January of 2022.
Before John’s passing, they would travel and explore various regions of the world together- both domestically and internationally. They also enjoyed a home in Harbor Springs where they would look forward to skiing in the winter and motorcycling in the summer. In her spare time, Beverly enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adeline’s and playing guitar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Towsley, and her parents, Charles and Grace Drechsel.
Beverly will be deeply missed by her daughter, Linda C. Jaeger.
Interment will be held at Washtenong Memorial Park Cemetery, 3771 Whitmore Lake Road, Ann Arbor, on Friday, February 24, 2023. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the mausoleum chapel from 10:30 until 11:00 am. Entombment will follow.
