Obituary for Brett Mathew Horsch
Brett Mathew Horsch has come to be with the Lord and Savior, Thursday, April 2, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.
Brett was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed soccer, hockey, bowling, wrestling, kick boxing, skydiving, and video games. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family especially those who he grew up with at Spice Tree Apartments. Brett kept these valuable friends throughout his life.
He was a graduate of Washtenaw Community College and earned two Associates Degrees. Brett was dedicated to his job as Banquet Manger at the Marriott in Ypsilanti- a job that he really enjoyed. He was also the owner and President of Horsch Handyman Services, Inc. which he established and grew during time off due to the COVID pandemic.
Brett leaves behind his father, Michael Horsch; his mother, Marsha (Bill) Davis; his aunt, Rosemarie Horsch; and his uncle, Richard Longview. He will also be missed by his special friends: Phuong Tran, Saad Ansari, Faraz Ansari, Aysha Riaz, Kelly Desselles, and Tim and Carola Baker. All of these people were dear to Brett’s heart and took time out of their lives to care for him during his battle with cancer.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor. To honor Brett’s wishes, a green burial will take place Monday, April 11, 2022 at 11:00 am at The Preserve at All Saints Cemetery, 4401 Nelsey Road, Waterford Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the Horsch family would appreciate memorial donations to the GoFundMe set up to assist with the funeral and estate expenses on Brett’s behalf. Your love and kindness is much appreciated.
