Obituary for Brock Alain Callahan
Brock Alain Callahan passed away on March 10, 2022, at the age of 31.
Born in Dearborn, Michigan, Brock grew up in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor and graduated from Huron High School in 2008. He later attended Michigan Tech University and studied sound design.
Brock always loved music. He started with the flute and quickly moved on to other instruments. Finally, he settled on his true love— the guitar. He played whenever he could and even wrote and recorded some of his own songs.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his weekly dinners with his aunt Alesia at different restaurants around the city where he often knew the staff from working there or chatting with them. Most recently, he worked at Shalimar in Ann Arbor.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Marie; his father, Keith; his sister, Brittany. He is also survived by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his countless friends.
A visitation for Brock will be held on Wednesday, March 16 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Road in Ann Arbor. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 11:00 am at the same location. Visitors are welcome to come as early as 10:00 am. He will be buried in Woodmere Cemetery.
