Obituary for Byung Tae Lee
Byung Tae Lee, age 89, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019.
Byung Tae was born on May 28, 1930 to parents Chul Young Lee and Hyo Ja Chun in Suwon, South Korea. In Korea, Byung Tae was an Air Force Colonel and received two national awards from the President of South Korea. In 1980, he was given the opportunity to come to the United States and moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where he had some family. He owned and operated a dry cleaning business in Ann Arbor for twenty years before retiring. Byung Tae was a member of the Korean Church of Ann Abor. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doo Hee Lee; his children, Sang Myung Lee, Myung Sook Lee, and Sean (Julie) Lee; and his granddaughter, Erica Lee.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 2pm at Nie Family Funeral Home, 3767 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm.
