Obituary for Cozette "Cozy" Tweedie Grabb

Cozette T. Grabb passed away peacefully on May 15, 2020 in Ann Arbor, Michigan at home. She has made Ann Arbor her home for over 70 years. Cozy is a loyal UM Sports Fan, Musical Society Member, and Patron of the Arts and Museums in Ann Arbor. She also spent over 50 years visiting her beach house on the beautiful island of Man-O-War Cay, Abaco, Bahamas. Cozy was born November 30, 1928, to Dr. Martin and Aleen Tweedie in Sandusky, Michigan. Her two brothers Martin and Terry preceded her in death. She graduated from Michigan State University. Cozy married the love of her life, Dr. William C. Grabb, on August 25, 1951. Dr. Grabb preceded her in death on March 21, 1982.

Cozy is survived by their three children: Betsy (Charles) Suits of Vientiane, Laos, David (Wan) Grabb of Boulder, CO., and Anne (Paul) Almeida of Sugar Land, TX. She has ten amazing grandchildren (Karl, David, John, Joe, Sarah, Oliver, Kalina, Katie, Daniel, and John) and five great-grandchildren (RJ, Jimmy, Emma, Hailey, and Bowen with two more babies due this summer).

Cozy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma who is called GCozy and GGCozy by her grandchildren. Aunt Cozy was also well-loved by her wonderful nieces and nephews. Cozy was a friend to all wherever she went. She served the local community of Ann Arbor on the Board of the Henderson House (a UM Co-Op) for 12 years and renovated their student housing. Cozy and her dear friend Anne Chase volunteered as a team for Meals on Wheels for 32 years. Cozy also volunteered at the St. Joseph Hospital Gift Shop for many years. She also volunteered at the Man-O-War Abaco Museum. Cozy was also an avid reader, world traveler, tennis and golf player.

Due to the current health circumstances, a private, family burial will take place. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date. Always remember me with flowers in your garden. I love peonies, hibiscus and lilacs.
