Obituary for Cynthia Okarski Irwin
Cindy Irwin passed away unexpectedly at home on December 23, 2019. Loving wife of Michael Irwin (dcd) and devoted mother of Krystie Irwin (dcd).
Cindy was born in Detroit to Charles and Virginia Okarski. She is survived by her brother Robert (Jane) Okarski and nephews Brian and Andy Okarski.
She was a Registered Nurse for 45 years, receiving her B.S.N. from Mercy College of Detroit and M.S.N. from Wayne State University.
She was very active at St Francis of Assisi Catholic church. She felt her faith was her strength throughout life’s trials and tribulations.
Her wisdom, insight and expertise guided many friends and family over the years. Her positive outlook on life and tenacity touched everyone that knew her – she will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday January 18, 2020 at 12pm at St Francis of Assisi Church, 2250 E. Stadium Blvd, Ann Arbor. Burial at Bethlehem Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Saint Louis Center – Chelsea MI, Make-A-Wish, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Hope Clinic in Ypsilanti MI.
