Dlorah (Lori) Lucy
February 24, 1958 - December 20, 2020
Lori died peacefully (not Covid related) on December 20, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Lori was born in Big Rapids, Michigan on February 24th 1958 to Raymond and Janet Lucy.
She was a graduate of Huron High School and Eastern Michigan University with a BSN, and Madonna University with a MSN in Nursing. She worked in acute care, home care, long-term care, as well as Nursing Education. She was elected as a Treasurer for the State and Local Nursing Boards and as a Delegate to the State Convention twice. Nursing was Lori’s passion until her many health issues led her to an early retirement.
She loved musicals and had too many favorites to count. Most recently she was most excited to see Hamilton. She shared her love of musicals to her nieces. Recently, she was a Board Member of the Saline Area Senior Center.
She is predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Janet; maternal grandparents, Harold and Sarah Schaeffer; paternal grandparents, Murchie and Blanche Lucy; as well as her niece, Alyssa Psychas.
She is survived by her sister and her family, Angie (Chris) Psychas of Ypsilanti, Michigan; nieces, Brittney (Ryan Jones) Psychas of Canton, Michigan, and Hailey (Eric Brand) Psychas of Charlotte, North Carolina; and nephews, Kyle and Matt Psychas of Cleveland, Ohio.
