Obituary for Donald Stanley Kocol

Donald Stanley Kocol, age 81, passed away in the early morning of January 28, 2021.

Donald was born to parents Stanley and Rose Kocol (née: Krzanowski), on June 23, 1939 in the “Back of the Yards” neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Years later while living in Southern California and working at TRW, Inc., Don was ever so fortunate to meet and marry his loving wife, Bobbie (née: Mousseau) in 1963. After later relocating to Chicago, IL's West Lawn neighborhood with Bobbie and their young family, Don worked for General Motors Corp. for 30+ years as a union electrician, eventually relocating to Grand Blanc, MI before retiring to Ann Arbor and sharing 10 years of quiet solitude with his wife of 57 years. A simple guy with a passion for Chicago’s sports teams, Don never met a discussion into which he would not convey his opinion, often in colorful terms. His family already misses him as do all others who knew him.

Don is survived by his daughter, Susan (Eugene) Senn; son, Mark (Joni) Kocol; grandchildren, Emily, Olivia, Anna, Becky, Katie, and Damien; and brothers, Norbert and Jerome Ulaszek and their families.
