Obituary for Elaine Iris Bommarito
Elaine Iris Bommarito, 96, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Norman Bommarito, Sr., and dearly loved mother of Michael (Kathleen) Peabody, grandmother of Maureen (Daniel) Baez, Daniel Peabody and Andrew Lang, great-grandmother of Julia Lang, Vincent Lang, Eden Baez and Ever Baez. Elaine was also the dear sister of the late Blanche V. Franks and stepmother of Leigh (Ron) Stivers, Skip (Debbie) Stivers, Norman, Jr. (Sharon), and Tony (Debbie) Bommarito, Norma Jean Woodard and the late Betty Ann Davidson. Elaine will be missed by many dear longtime friends, including Joan Baggiore and Claudia Myszke, and new friends at American House, including Dawn Osadchuk and her caregivers.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 30th at the Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Elaine’s funeral service will begin at 11:00. Internment will be at 12:30 p.m. in South Lyon Cemetery, 479 Stryker Street, South Lyon, Michigan 48178.
