Obituary for Elizabeth Alquinto Crisostomo

Elizabeth Alquinto Crisostomo, age 99, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away on Thursday,
January 30th at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Elizabeth was born in Manila, Philippines on June 13, 1920. But moved to Davao City as
pioneers to aid in establishing a mission hospital. And during her travels she met what would be
her future husband, Jose C. Crisostomo.

Throughout her life, Elizabeth held many roles one including volunteering during World War II,
however, being able to provide for her family was most important. She welcomed her family
and friends into her home with her favorite dishes and baked goods making everyone feel loved.
In her spare time she loved gardening, reading, and traveling.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joaquin and Agueda (Esteban) Alquinto; her husband of 52
years, Jose C. Crisostomo; and her siblings.

Elizabeth is survived by her children: Rolando, Amelia, Virginia, Danilo (Irma), Stella, MariĆ³
(Vilma), Armando (Roselle), Oscar, and Arthur (Angel); her grandchildren: Josett (Joann),
Charisse (Brett), Nico, Irene (Francis), Katrina (Freddy), Louise, Marvin, Dave, Marc,
Christopher, and John; and her great-grandchildren: Gabriel, J.P, Jayseth, Lara, Madison,
Miriam, and Sebastian.

Visitation will be held at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, on
Thursday, February 6th, from 5-8 pm and Friday, February 7th, from 5-8 pm. A rosary service
will be held on both Thursday and Friday at 6 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday,
February 8th, at 11 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2250 E. Stadium Blvd, Ann
Arbor. Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park Cemetery of Ann Arbor.
