Obituary for Emily Katherine Tondreau

Emily Katherine Tondreau, age 35, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020.

Emily was born on May 6, 1984 in Providence, Rhode Island to parents Alfred and Carol (Charlonne) Tondreau and raised with her siblings, Ellen and Zachary.

She attended Southview High school in Hope Mills, North Carolina and Saline High School in Saline, Michigan. Emily later obtained an associate’s degree from Washtenaw Community College. She was currently working at Chipotle in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Emily was an avid reader, always interested in philosophy, spirituality and religion, science, and the workings of the human mind. She was artistic and also enjoyed crafts with her little girls and spending time with them. She enjoyed writing and was good at starting a conversation. She was very thoughtful and had a way of picking out the perfect gift.

Emily is survived by her parents, Alfred Roger and Carol Tondreau of Saline, Michigan; her son, Jacob (17) of Saline, Michigan; her daughters, Theresa May (3) and Florence (1) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and her siblings, Ellen (Alex) Farr of Houston, Texas and Zachary (Jessica) Tondreau of Tecumseh, Michigan. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins who live in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Emily has gone to heaven to join her grandparents, Therese and Alfred Tondreau and Mary and Paul Charlonne, all formerly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; and her dog, Daisy.

Emily was very intelligent and beautiful, kind and good-natured and she had a great sense of humor. She gave the impression of having an old soul. She loved her children and family. May she rest in eternal peace and joy.

Private cremation services have taken place.
