Obituary for Giovanni Damien Davis
Giovanni Damien Davis, age 1, passed away unexpectedly, on February 11, 2021, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Giovanni was born to parents, James Davis and Megan Calkins, on December 27, 2019 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He sure did laugh and smile during his time on earth; bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched. Being a cuddler, Giovanni loved snuggling right up to your chest, especially his daddy’s. He would light up the room whenever he saw his dad, and the two of them spent countless moments belly-laughing together. Some of Giovanni’s favorite activities to do were watching Daniel Tiger and playing with his peek-a-boo elephant. He was also known for his talent of dancing with mom along to music, specifically his favorite song by Lizzo. Eager to love on anyone and anything, Giovanni loved trying to play with his cats, even when they decided they did not want to play back.
Giovanni is preceded in death by his grandpa, Dale Jenkins; great-grandparent, Martha; and Uncle David Pickett.
He is survived by his loving parents, James Davis and Megan Calkins; brother, Nathan Davis; grandparents, James and Kay Davis, Shirley Jenkins, and Kelly Jenkins; great-grandparents, Larry, Judy, Jerry, and Patty; uncles, Matthew (Lauren) and Billy Oliver; aunts, Maria (John), Heather, Alisha, Amber, Paige, and Alanis (James); and many other special family and friends, including his cousins Charlotte and Aubriella, whom were born all 3 weeks within each other, and his protector, Daisy the dog.
