Obituary for Hilda Lou Valleskey (Hennings)
Hilda Lou Valleskey, age 92, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 23, 2020 at Troy Beaumont Hospital, Troy, MI. She was a resident of Romeo, MI, most recently residing at Legacy at Orchard Grove Health Campus in Romeo. She entered this world in Wood River, IL on November 20, 1927, the first daughter of Willy and Hilda (nee Rohde) Hennings. She married her beloved Aron A. Valleskey in 1948 and had three daughters, Dianne, Deborah, and Donna.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Leta Weber, her husband, Aron, and daughter, Deborah Polkowski (Steve).
She is survived by daughters, Dianne Jacobsen (Jake) and Donna Lippens (Mike); eight grandchildren, Melissa Widenhofer (Steve), Aimee Woods (Ben), Christa Berger, Carrie Ventimiglia (Chip), Corrie Berger, Jayna Berger (Phil Menard), Stefani Polkowski; and her only grandson, Brad Welch (Raquel); as well as 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Hilda Lou was a member of Grace Lutheran Fellowship in Romeo. Throughout her life she was a teacher of young children, and a lover of birds, flowers, jigsaw puzzles, and her Savior, Jesus. It brought her joy to support the causes she loved.
Memorial contributions to Grace Lutheran Fellowship, Romeo, and Grace Children’s Hospital - International Child Care USA, Ann Arbor, would make her smile.
She was buried in Arborcrest Cemetery, Ann Arbor, MI on April 27, 2020.
