Obituary for Honni Budidjaja
On December 15, 2021, Honni Budidjaja (Tjoa Ho Nio) passed away peacefully at home. Honni was born on February 19, 1938 in Jakarta, Indonesia. She married Sain Tiono Budidjaja (Thio Kian Hin) on January 8, 1956. Honni and Sain met in Jakarta playing badminton. Since Sain’s passing in 1985, Honni has been looking forward to being together with him again.
Honni lived in Ypsilanti, Michigan and attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She is survived by her sisters Ratna Samsi (and Aming) and Sianni Soepadmo (and Jongky), brother Daniel Purnama (and Celestine), sons Robert Budidjaja, Herman Thio (and Victoria), and Hassan Budidjaja (and Mab Neang), daughters Lianna Suria (and Irwan), and Lina Lockwood (and Robert), and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 18, 2021, 11:00am until the time of the service at 1:00pm at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48108. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, Ann Arbor, MI.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Honni's birthday February 19, 2022. Details will be provided later by the family.
