I remember Iva as a wonderful Foster Grandparent at Bryant Elementary when I was a secretary at Bryant. She always had a smile on her face and was so compassionate with the children she worked with. May Iva rest in peace and my our Good Lord be with all of you.

You were so beautiful inside and out. Even when we may not have agreed on everything, she never let me feel like I couldn’t be honest and because of that we had a special bond. I could talk to her about anything really. She was our shopping buddy(even when I cried about hating to go to the mall), movie partner, exercise and health guru, dinner date, the reason I eat Tofu lol, our first fashion designer, first daycare teacher, the rum in my eggnog, our friend, our Grandma😢😢. When I decided to dance at age 6, she joined the dance company too. We shared the same dance teacher, and we performed together ( her dance team and mine) in my very first performance. This is something special that will be with me forever. Grandma, we’ll continue to eat the potato chips down here and spin a little Barry White, while you watch over us. My heart hurts, but I’ll see ya again on the other side.
Love Always,
TeeCee
