Julia (Bednarski) Jackowski passed away peacefully on October 18th, 2019 in her Ann Arbor, MI home at the age of 93. Born in Brant, New York in 1926, she was a world traveled woman filled with wit, zest, and love for both Jesus and the family she created. She had the uncanny ability to know if your outfit would be bean-picking approved.
She will be sorely missed by: her four daughters Gerry (Lee), Joanne (Ron), Marian, and Patti (David); as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who all love her a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.
You can now find her asking Jesus what took him so long and doing the polka with her husband Rudy, as her son Henry watches from the sidelines with a smile.
Visitation will be Thursday October 24th, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at Nie Funeral Home at 2400 Carpenter Rd, where a Rosary will be said at 2:30 pm in Ann Arbor with a service following on Friday October 25th, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi in Ann Arbor, MI at 11:00 am. Along with flowers, please bring a jacket to the service, as she will be cold for you from the pearly gates.
Memorial donations in honor of Julia may be made to: Arbor Hospice or EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network)
