Obituary for Keith Paul Schummer
Keith Paul Schummer, age 60, passed away on May 17, 2021 at his residence in Gladwin, Michigan.
Keith was born on August 15, 1960 to parents Daniel and Waneta Schummer. He graduated from Ann Arbor Huron high school, and shortly after found a career in truck driving. Keith was employed with Gelman’s, Michigan Ladder, as well as Fed-Ex before retiring. He was able to travel and reside in Wisconsin for a short period of time before returning to Michigan, where ‘home’ became the family cabin in Gladwin for about 20 years.
Being a self sufficient and resourceful man, Keith enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and spending time at local casinos. He also happened to be an avid University of Michigan fan!
Keith is preceded in death by my dog, Sammy; his father, Daniel; and grandmothers, Margaret and Mabel.
He will be deeply missed and remembered forever by those who survive him: mother, Waneta; sisters, Judy Schummer and Lynda (Gary) Moore; brother, Dan (Elizabeth) Schummer; niece, Christina (Kevin) Morawski; nephews, Jason (Buddy), Jeff, and Derek; along with many other great-nieces and nephews, family and friends.
