Roy Jones, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, January 19th. 2022 at the age of 89. A lifelong resident of Ann Arbor, Roy was born on June 19th, 1932 to Roy A. and Evelyn Jones. He was married to Bernice Alberta Dunning. Their union produced 4 children, including one son and three daughters.

He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Bernice, his brother Michael and 2 of his daughters.
Left to mourn his passing are his son, his grandson Branden, daughter-in-law, Jessica and remaining, daughter Carol, in addition to his sisters Marjory, Connie, Edna and Betty.

Roy worked hard to care for his family, he was a loyal employee of Washtenaw News Co. for some 50 years, as warehouse manager. He rarely missed a day of work, even when he was told to take time off for holidays, he rarely took advantage of it.
Roy will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him.

There will be a visitation gathering at Nie Funeral Home - 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108 on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. The family is requesting that all guests in attendance please wear a mask.
