Obituary for Linda Lee Grant (Collins)

Linda (Collins) Grant passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2022 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Linda was born May 2, 1962, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to parents, Raymond and Louise Collins. She attended Stone School Elementary, Tappan Junior High, and Ann Arbor Huron High School, graduating in 1980. Shortly after graduating, Linda built a career in Patient Financial Services at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital (Trinity Health Ann Arbor) in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Most recently, she enjoyed her direct work with patients as a Patient Financial Counselor. Utilizing her kindness and caring nature, she became an integral part of the St. Joe’s team and was admired by her friends, co-workers, and family.

Growing up, Linda loved taking trips with her family, visiting Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Indiana. She also loved nature and animals and was especially dedicated to her pet dogs. She shared these interests with her husband, Bobby (Robert) Grant. They married May 11, 2000 on a beach in North Carolina. Together, the two enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting with many trips in northern Michigan.

Linda is preceded in death by her beloved parents and brother-in-law, Ron Passiak.

Linda is survived by her husband, Bobby; sisters, Karen Passiak and Andrea (Victor) McGuire; brother, Dennis (Dee) Collins; nieces and nephews, Laura (Aaron) Leopold, Amy Passiak, Nick Passiak, Victoria (Tom) Drotar, Stephanie (Chris) Wiggins, Jessica (Richard) Brown, and Jarad (Cecelia) Collins; and great-nieces and nephews, Brooke, Maya, Hayden, Hudson, Micah, McKinley, Camryn, Greyson, and Lilith. She is also survived by her dogs, Shadow, Almond, and Sweet.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Nie Family Funeral Home located at 3767 W. Liberty Rd., Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103. Public visitation will be from 10am-12pm, immediately followed by a 12pm service. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
