Obituary for Linda Rachelle Haughton (Greene)
On Thursday, October 1, 2020, Lin Haughton, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away suddenly at the age of 48. Lin will be forever remembered by her beloved sons Luke Christy and Brian (Cora) Haughton, and by her best friend and partner of 12 years, Sam Avery and sons Christopher and Nathaniel Avery, by her granddaughter Gracelyn, and by her sisters Callie (Brian) Adams and Erin (Adrien) Antaya-Avery. Lin will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews Scott, Adam, Jordyn, Jenna, Clara, Dan, and Malayna, and by extended family and many dear friends.
Lin was a kind, loving soul and she touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was an inspiration to all, full of love, strength and encouragement. Lin will be remembered for her passion to help others in need, bring joy to those that she could, or give a hug and a smile if it would help. Lin wanted to help make the world better. Whether supporting animal shelters, veteran’s causes, or just a personal charity that someone else was supporting, Lin was there to do what she could to help. She lived life to the fullest, traveling around the world to experience new places and people, trying new hobbies, and making sure every day counted. Lin’s love for her family, and those she considered family, was most important to her. Her deep devotion to her family and friends, and their wellbeing, was endless. Time spent with Lin was truly a tremendous blessing of time, one which will not be forgotten. And her memory will live on in all the lives she touched. She will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be arranged in the Spring of 2021 for friends and family to come together and remember this remarkable woman.
