Obituary for Lioubov Alexeeva (Mirkina)
Lioubov (Luba) Alexeeva passed away on January 28, 2023 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Luba was born in Samarkand, USSR to parents Mikhail and Elizaveta on September 13, 1944. She obtained her college education and later taught college prep physics at St.Petersburg Polytechnic. Luba relocated to the United States in 1994 with her husband, Igor and became a US Citizen after winning an immigration diversity lottery. Luba and Igor were very involved with their neighborhood and made many friends there and at the local gym. Luba will be missed by her many friends.
She is survived by her loving son, Egor Alekseev, his wife Denise and her two grandchildren, Anya and Ben.
Per Luba’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
She will be reunited in rest with her husband, Igor, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dexter, Michigan.
A celebration of Luba's life would take place in the spring
