Obituary for Lynda Jeanne McMaster
Lynda Jeanne McMaster, age 64, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022.
Lynda was born on July 9, 1957, the eldest daughter of Lloyd and Iris (Willey) McMaster in Toledo, Ohio. She enjoyed an active childhood in Toledo and Temperance, Michigan with her younger sister, Lora. In 1975, Lynda graduated from Bedford High School in Temperance. Following graduation, she attended Monroe Community College to obtain an associate’s degree. Lynda accepted a position at Edwards Brothers as an IT Specialist in their book publishing business in Ann Arbor for 40 years until the company closed in 2018.
Lynda enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, many different crafts such as needle point and crochet, antiques, and caring for her beloved cats, Alice and Callie, who predeceased her. She was an avid college football fan and enjoyed rooting for University of Michigan and also enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings hockey team. Lynda was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Ann Arbor.
She is survived by her many family members and close friends, including her aunt and uncle, Patricia and Larry Willey; her cousins, Roxanna Willey and Jan Updike and their families. She will also be missed by many friends and coworkers from Edwards Brothers that she held close to her heart.
Private cremation services have taken place.
A graveside service will take place on March 12, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Allen Cemetery, 7991 Cemetery Drive, Allen, Michigan, where Lynda will be interred next to her parents and sister.
