Obituary for Ma’atoa McEowen Nua
Ma’atoa McEowen Nua, precious son of Shaun and Hilary Nua, was born into the arms of Angels on
January 2, 2021 at Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ma’atoa weighed 6 lbs 6 oz.
Although Ma’atoa was born sleeping, he always knew how much he was loved. Mommy, Daddy, big brother Losi (4) and big sisters Kelina (3) and Malia (2) reminded him everyday how excited they were to meet him and how they loved him so.
There are no words to express our immense love and how deeply we will miss our son and baby brother.
May feeling his sweet spirit and love bring peace and mend our broken hearts.

Grandmother Dorothy McEowen, Great-Grandfathers Jack Leavins and Larry Slade and (Paternal) Great-
Grandparents Tualemoso and Katerina Ahsoon and To’atolu and So’oupu Nua.
We would like to thank our family and friends for their endless love, compassion and support at this most difficult time in our lives. We will be forever grateful.
