Obituary for Martha Taffesse
Martha Taffesse passed away on December 31, 2022 in Superior Township, Michigan.
Martha was born on May 13, 1960 to parents, Taffesse Tebike and Seble Belay in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Before starting her own family, Martha settled within the United States as a young adult. She obtained her associate’s degree from Washtenaw Community College, serving as a nurse’s aide within the healthcare industry. Martha later received her LPN certification from Athena Career Academy.
Martha held the Ethiopian Orthodox faith very close to her heart and was very proud of her large family. She enjoyed spending time with the family, walking in the park, and during the holiday season it was a must to make sure to watch Christmas Hallmark movies.
Martha will be remembered and missed by those who survive her: loving son, Andreas (Kaia Parenti) Hailu-Ebba; siblings, Amarech, Bezunesh, Debebe, Sahlu, Tebike, Tedbabe; and many extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9th, 2023 at Nie Funeral Homes, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108 at 4pm, with visitation starting at 2pm.
Martha’s final resting place will be in Entoto Kidane Mehret Church in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
