Obituary for Miguel Angel Perez

Our loyal and loving Miguel “Michael” Angel Perez (Sanchez) passed away in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 14, 2019 at the age of 75.

Miguel was born on March 9, 1945 in Lares, Puerto Rico to Maria Sanches Rivera and Jorge Perez Acevedo. He was one of their twelve children. He graduated from high school at the age of 18 and moved to New York City. He lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he met and married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Perez. They married in 1980 on August 16th. In 1981, he moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan with his family. Miguel worked much of his life as a cook in restaurants, hotels and nursing homes. He worked in the University of Michigan residential
halls for 10 years before retiring.

Miguel was an excellent provider for his family and he loved them unconditionally. He was kind, gentle, compassionate and loyal and everyone could see his dedication to his wife as he cared for her for as long as he was able. He enjoyed looking sharp. Miguel loved cooking and eating all types of food. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and fishing. Miguel surrendered his life to the Lord in 1992 and was a faithful servant with a strong faith in prayer. He witnessed many miracles throughout his own life and that of his family.

Miguel is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Perez and son, Vaudry Alonzo Rendleman IV; his grandson, Vaudry A Rendleman V and granddaughter Kaitlin Heck. He has four great grandchildren: Demitrious Miguel Rendleman, Major Rendleman, Keylanni N Rendleman and Kehlani S. L. Heck. He is also survived by his brothers Teodoro Perez Sanchez, Edwin Perez Sanchez, Hector Perez Sanchez and sister Cucky Perez Sanchez as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters and other family
members.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, December 28 at the Abundant Life Ministries Church on 855 E Clark Rd in Ypsilanti, Michigan from 11 -1 pm.
