Obituary for Ok Cha "Kim" Lindsey

Ok Cha "Kim" Lindsey’s sun rose on May 14th, 1938, in Seoul, South Korea and her sun set on June 28th,
2022, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is survived by her 7 children, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-
grandchildren. She is also survived by many other close family and friends that loved and cherished her
so dearly.

Ok Cha, also affectionally known as Kim and Kimchee, was born in a raised in Seoul, South Korea. During
her childhood and young adult life she survived and experienced periods of war. The devastations of war
helped to shape her life’s mission of spreading hope through God and serving God’s children. Her
unbreakable faith in God and strong spirit always allowed her to conquer any obstacles.

She immigrated to the USA with her former late husband Robert Lindsey Jr., and settled in Michigan. She
worked over 23 years as an assembly line worker for Chrysler, before work related injuries forced her
into early retirement. Her tireless and relentless work ethic after retirement became focused on her
continued work for the church and community.

God and faith were always front and center to Ok Cha’s life. She gave her life to the mission of being a
loving Christian to all. She was dedicated to God, the church, spreading love, being generous and
providing care and support to her family and the community. Ok Cha was always willing to open her
home, wallet, time, and heart to anyone in need. Her bright and magnetic smile, personality, sense of
humor, left a long-lasting impact on those who graced her presence.
