Obituary for Patricia Diane Pawelski
Patricia Diane Pawelski, age 78, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, after a brief illness.
Pat was born on August 10, 1943, the first-born child of Frank and Mary (Talaj) Pawelski in Detroit, Michigan. She enjoyed a happy childhood with her little brother, Jerry, and graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit. After graduation, Pat was accepted at the University of Michigan and relocated to Ann Arbor where she would remain a life-long resident. She completed both a bachelors and master’s degree at U of M focusing her studies in business administration and mathematics. Pat began working for Chi Systems in Ann Arbor and later with GranCare Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers. Her focus was always on striving to make sure nursing home patients were receiving the best care and protected by proper protocols.
Pat was a dedicated and proud U of M sports fan- often attending football, hockey, and basketball games so she could root for her Wolverines! She also enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, and exploring new areas. However, it was time spent with her family that was most important to her. She was a wonderful big sister and best friend to her brother, Jerry, who will always cherish their lifelong bond.
Pat will be remembered by her brother, Jerry (Phyllis); nieces, Kimberly (Victor) Doman and Kristine (Ryan); and grand-nieces and nephews, Dominic, Axl, Veronica, and Harlowe. She will also be missed by many loving and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2022.
