Obituary for Robert "Bob" J. Retelle
Robert Joseph Retelle, 74, of Ypsilanti, passed away November 18, 2022. He was born July 22, 1948, in Detroit to George and Mary Margaret (Robinson) Retelle and grew up in Detroit and Royal Oak. He was a 1966 graduate of Dondero High School in Royal Oak, and attended the University of Michigan, where he met Lynn (Sawicki) Retelle. They married on August 17, 1968.
He worked at the Cunningham-Limp Company in Birmingham, Michigan, and as a computer hardware engineer at ADP and Network 2, both in Ann Arbor. In addition, he wrote computer games for OSI computers and authored several computer books.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lynn; his daughter, Erin Retelle (Frank Fraser); his sister, Mary Beth Retelle; and many nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Anne-Marie (John) Roosen; his brother, Richard; and his brother-in-law, Larry (Kathy) Sawicki.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48108.
