Obituary for Paul Joe Maynard

Paul Joe Maynard, age 86, passed away on October 30, 2020.

Paul was born on November 16, 1933, the only child of Paul and Martha (Weaver) Maynard, in a cabin on a farm in Morgantown, West Virginia. At a young age, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was trained as an air traffic controller during the Korean War. While stationed in Middletown, Pennsylvania, he married Donna Lee Jenkins in 1956. He attended West Virginia University and received a bachelor’s degree in business. Paul worked for Crawford & Company for over 40 years as a manager.

Paul and Donna’s last residence was in Canton, Michigan were they were proud and active members of Newburg United Methodist Church for several years. Paul was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. We know he will live on in glory with our Lord Jesus Christ. He was an incredible prayer warrior and always put others first.

Survived by his wife of 64 beautiful years, Donna Lee Maynard; his sons, Michael Joe (Judith Lynn) Maynard and Stephen Lee (Melissa) Maynard; grandchildren, Amy E. (Greg) Lyle, Andrew M. (Ashley M.), Brittany L. (Fahro) Malagic, and Sarah (Alen) Osmanovic; and his great-grandchildren, Gregory, Chloe, Eli, Jackson, Noah, Ava, Mahir, Amir, Mila, Stella, and Enzo.

Donna and family. Our deepest sympathies and prayers for a great man and friend. We enjoyed knowing both of you and working with Paul who was a pleasure to work with. Enjoyed living in Evansville for a short time. Everyone I knew who knew thought he was a great guy. We’ve moved to San Antonio.
